Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
In response to the recommendations made by the Governor and others in authority, Sharon Center United Methodist Church will not be meeting together physically but will instead be meeting “virtually” for a few weeks or until we receive word that it is safe again to gather together. This is new territory for all of us so we ask for your grace and mercy as we will be trying new things in an attempt to stay connected to one another and Jesus Christ.
I do not have answers, but I can tell you that we had our first Facebook Live last Sunday. We are trying out a Facebook live prayer time too. We will be doing some videos and posting them to our webpage, and we might even have our own YouTube channel soon. Every Friday we will be sending out a “Weekly Revelation” that will update you with what we know at that moment. We’ll post those to the webpage too.
Our building is now closed. We have sent an email to all groups asking them to not use the building. If you have a question please contact me. When the restrictions are lifted we will open again.
For now, continue to pray, asking God for strength and comfort for those who have the virus and those that care for them. Read the Friday Weekly Revelation, check the website and Facebook page. Contact others in our community and make sure they are cared for, especially those who are most vulnerable.
God most certainly has our attention right now. Nothing happens that hasn’t been filtered through his fingers. Let’s use this time to thank him for all he has done for us!
Walking by Faith,
Pastor Jane Piehl
